Cute homeless kitten got a new home

Postby johanhammarstrom » Mon Oct 10, 2011 11:25 am

Hi,

Our news editor usually writes about the cute cats that we have in the airpark and we get an update once in a while about their life.

Yesterday, me and Wanja found a cute very young kitten along the Vindmyrevägen. It was making a "mjau(:)) and we stopped and saw the small animal freezing in the cold grass. Wanja captured it and it was obvious he/she (?) was very pleased to get some heat from her body. We realized this cat would die if we just let it go as the winter is approaching rapidly now. We considered taking it home, but we realized we can not give a good home for it.. As we walked around in the airpark village wishing for luck we got it at the first house! Fredrik D will take it to Stockholm and hand it over to his sister - they have been looking for a cat for a while know!

We put the kitten in a big open box and put a soft and nice blanket it in. It really enjoyed it! As Wanja put some small sliced chicken in the box the kitten almost ate her finger. It was soo hungry!

We will try to follow this cat´s life which we hope will be great.

Regards,

Johan and Wanja

Hi,

I just talked to my sister and she has been to the veterinary with the cat today. It's a healthy 10 weeks old female.
She is enjoying her new home in Vallentuna and getting along good with the senior cat Smokey.

Now she is only missing a name. Any suggestions?

Best regards,
Fredrik D

Hi

These are really good news! One saved life is a good life - even if it is "only" a cat's life.

Mamma cat is still strolling the airpark, has been a while, though, since all four kittens were seen. Maybe the three of them did not make it, maybe mamma cat did not share the food so generously served her every night at Ekström's terrace. Rotten mother!!

Your news editor will be very happy to bring a photo of a beautiful wellnourished female Vallentuna cat in the next news letter - just e-mail it to me :D

If the cat was a boy and liked fish it could be named "Sill-Jan" (herring-Jan),
but why not "Silja", as it is a girl!

Hi cat friends,
Tonight Siljan's sister/brother was seen eating out of the 6 o'clock served dinner at Ekströms terrace.
Looked very pleased, he/she did.
